What is a Bereavement Doula?
A bereavement doula, also known as a birth and bereavement doula, provides non-medical support to families experiencing loss during or after pregnancy. This includes support for miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss, offering emotional, physical, and informational guidance. Bereavement doulas help families navigate the immediate aftermath of loss, facilitate bonding with the baby, and assist with grief processing.
Does it cost?
I do not charge for my services as a bereavement doula. Having experienced loss myself, I know the invaluable worth a bereavement doula can provide, and you can’t put a price on that. Because of that, I ask for donations not from those I am helping, but from those who know the value I provide to those who are grieving. If you would like to partner and help me continue to support those in need of a bereavement doula, you can send me a donation through Zelle or CashApp.
